It is the 50th year since the launch of the WAR ON POVERTY that was initiated by President Lyndon Johnson. We have made some strides in this battle, however, we have so much more to do if we want to provide a quality life experience. In our American quest to attain the American dream we might be missing some of the ingredients necessary to achieve this dream.

They define poverty in terms of minimum cash flow and do not make double-entry accounting mandatory in the schools. How many high school graduates do not know what NET WORTH is. then our brilliant economists do not talk about planned obsolescence. How much have Americans lost on the depreciation of automobiles since 1964? Economists don't compute and report this.
